wich way do king spings go?
hi im replacing my spring in my live axle vs with king springs, i dont no wich way up they go? one side the coils are tight together and the other end they are farther apart. any advise? thanx

The end with the coils tighter is the bottom
Look on the springs, it should say "Top" on the top end, unless the printing has worn off, i could'nt tell you mate, i can't remember.

The flatter end of the spring goes to the top (body) and has the round rubber ring fitted over the mount on the body.The open end goes to the bottom control arm and also has a rubber seat fitted also but is different from the top one and is moulded to fit in the control arm.Make sure the end of the spring is hard against the tab in the spring seat on the lower arm.

Just checked it out in a VS gregorys workshop manual.The spring tapers off smaller at one end.This end goes to the top (body).
By the flater end of the spring do you mean were the coils are tighter?
Yes, Ive worded that wrong saying flatter(the top end of the spring is sort of flat to take the rubber insert that goes between the spring and the body. I should have said its the smaller tighter coils that go to the body. vpcalais6 has told you the wrong way in his post above.
