Can someone please tell me how I know Im using accesories on the key ? yesterday I was working on a fence and had my car (vs ute) was sitting with the cd player on. I thought I was in ACC but this morning, the next day when I went to start her the battery was flat. The markings that would normally be on the ignition telling me where off on and acc seem to have worn off . So how do I tell ? is it when the ignition lights com on the dash ? Or how many clicks foward from completley off? . I know is a no brainer, but would appreciate anyone that can point me in the right direction thanks .
When the ignition key is in the "ON" position the red dash lights will be lit up.The accessories position is the position before the on position. When its on accessories the radio and other accessories will work but there will be no dash lights lit up.Even when in the ACC position the battery will still go flat if the radio is left on for a length of time.Just checked it out in my car.The first position from "OFF" is accessories. The second position from "OFF" is the "ON" position-- (the red dash lights on).

Thanks for your help and not giving me crap about it. Yeah I did have the radio going for ages ( 3 hours ) I could have had it in ACC and mabye it just went flat from the time haha. I did actually notice one of the cds sound ing like it was going in slow motion like a warped merry go round sound , I thought no way the battery must be going flat, but I though it wouldn t make the cd play slower surley not , at that point I did turn the engine over no probs so I kept playing my cds for another few hours turned off the cd went in side then next morning flat , I ve been driving for many years - I guess i wont make that noob mistake again .Cheers mate
