Default temp solution to stop radiator leaking?

just looking for a temporary solution to stop a radiator leak until i can fit a new radiator , ive checked all the hoses and the leak seems to be coming from the left hand side of the radiator somewhere.
also is fitting a new radiator an easy job?

if the leak is slow man, just keep filling the coolant up every morning, maybe arvo aswell... mine was leaking from the waterpump... heaaaaps slow leak, but i was filling it up like 5 times a day just to be on the safe side, and as long as i had water in it, it ran nice and cold even on just water... i kicked on like that for like 2 weeks...

I found myself in the same predicament a month or so ago - radiator slowly weeping from an invisible split/crack in plastic side tank - I was aware that the split can grow rapidly and then just blows out and instantly you have no coolant with no warning at all. I ended up ordering a radiator on Ebay for about $110 which was delivered to me in Toowoomba within 36 hours from Sydney. Didn't use my car for that period which I realise isn't always possible.
The problem with using a product that will seal the leak is that it may lull you into a sense of security whilst your radiator has a weakened side tank....waiting to blow.
    Good Luck.

Flush your cooling system when you fit the new radiator.

I would stay away from chemical stop leaks. I have seen them block heater cores and upset thermostats and radiator caps.
As above, if it's a small leak, just keep topping it up when its cold.

The radiator tanks are either side of the actual radiator core.(they are clipped/crimped to the core). The radiator hoses join these tanks. They are plastic not metal.

qwik steel, or the like. can buy it from supercheap / bunnings around $9 - $12. It will depend on how the radiator is leaking tho.
I snapped the overflow line off on my S1 VN radiator, fixed it with qwick steel and 5 years later it was still holding strong, no leaks.
If the tank has split, I don't think it would work very well, but worth a shot if you can't afford to replace it just yet.
