Hi All,
I tried doing a search on this, didn't really turn up much.
Could anyone tell me if you can swap the whole rear tail light and boot assembly from a statesman to just a normal VS?
I am thinking of doing it, as i have a small hole in one of my tail lights, and the lights on the boot are faded to almost white...
Any advice would be appreciated.
it could be done, but it would require a whole lot of metalwork as the 1/4 panels and under the lights themselves are completely different to a Commodore.
Cheapest and easiest thing to do is to replace the tail lights with new ones...non genuine replacements are about $60 a piece.
Yep,
It would be a bit of a mammoth task putting statesman lights onto commodore I'd imagine.
Why anyone would do it I do not know.
Alot easier to just buy some VS tail lights - normal, smoked, clear or whatever you are into and just swap them over mate.
Please do not print this sweet post. Save our forests. Save our World.
Thanks Guys, just thought I would ask, as I thought the sections below the tail light and above the bumper could be removed, and the tailgate can just be transplanted, or garnish replaced...
See this thread - Vs rear end conversion.
Have you actually looked at a statesman rear end? Even the boot lid is different.
This VS is guarded by shotgun 4 nights per week - You guess which 4!
