Hey guys
The time has come to get a new exhaust
The car is a HSV VS Statesman 5.0.
I'm wondering what will be better the 3inch or the 2.5. Iv'e priced them both and they are within $100 of each other. I want it loud and obnoxious but not too droney. Cars pretty much stock, has HSV short extractors, Single cat. Pod Filter and that's about it. Future mods are charger and cam.
Thanks guys.
Deneo.
A 3" will be fine. I can send you one for $420 shipped to your door. Front muffler, rear tail pipe.
Ultimately though, if you are supercharging it, I would go a twin 2 1/2" off dual cats.
bit off topic but
not _an_abba_fan how much can u do a set pacemaker extractors for v6 vs auto posted to vic?
also what other brands do u have and what prices for them ?
thanks
Personally I wouldn't go Pacemaker on a streeter as the extra that they cost is far more than any extra performance you would get from them over any other brand. Will you get $200 worth of extra performance or quality from Pacemakers?
I do Wildcat, made by Genie, $390 or for a cheaper option, Tiger Headers at $340. Both prices are posted.
atm car is bog stock standard
lookin at getting a mace cold air setup extractors and have just got a 2.5 inch redback catback system (50 bux of ebay 3 months old)
ill let u know with those extractors
whats ur thoughts on buying used extractors saw a set of pacemakers go for $150 on ebay the other week missed itwas the extractors y piece and cat of a vs sedan and in melbourne kickin myself for missing the ending
thanks
adrian
Used extractors are fine. Unless they have been smashed on speed bumps and kerbs.
Back on topic? lol.
With 3" i wont loose too much back Pressure will i?
What you want to do is lose ALL your back pressure. Back pressure is a bad thing, you don't want it.
A 3" single on a 5L is fine, it will flow better than the stock system and unlock a few kW.
Sweet as, Thanks for your help abba.
