Default Exhaust Question, 3 inch or 2.5

    Hey guys

The time has come to get a new exhaust
The car is a HSV VS Statesman 5.0.
I'm wondering what will be better the 3inch or the 2.5. Iv'e priced them both and they are within $100 of each other. I want it loud and obnoxious but not too droney. Cars pretty much stock, has HSV short extractors, Single cat. Pod Filter and that's about it. Future mods are charger and cam.

    Thanks guys.

A 3" will be fine. I can send you one for $420 shipped to your door. Front muffler, rear tail pipe.

Ultimately though, if you are supercharging it, I would go a twin 2 1/2" off dual cats.

Personally I wouldn't go Pacemaker on a streeter as the extra that they cost is far more than any extra performance you would get from them over any other brand. Will you get $200 worth of extra performance or quality from Pacemakers?

I do Wildcat, made by Genie, $390 or for a cheaper option, Tiger Headers at $340. Both prices are posted.

Used extractors are fine. Unless they have been smashed on speed bumps and kerbs.

What you want to do is lose ALL your back pressure. Back pressure is a bad thing, you don't want it.

A 3" single on a 5L is fine, it will flow better than the stock system and unlock a few kW.
