Default Front and Rear bumper strips.

Seeing as I just got the side Trolley Strips of my VR Berlina, I was wondering how do you get the strips in the bumper off?

Thanks guys and have a great long weekend!

That doesn't help, it only works on the side strips, which are accessible with fishing line which I've done.

The strips at the back and front are inside a groove which you cannot reach with fishing line.

I managed to get the back off, I put a flathead screwdriver behind the strip and gently pulled it away from the panel at the start, then I just pulled it off. Used some Wax and grease remover and you'd never know it was on there.

There front is giving me some trouble, it's in a slot behind the bumper and I can't get it out. Any ideas?

try heating it up with a hair dryer or soaking it with something that might loosen the glue?

That's not a helpful remark dude, the guy has tried both but can't work it out, the front and rear's are really hard to get out and are very confusing.

I want an answer to the same question.

Mate just get a flat head screwdriver in one end close to the edge and lever it out at this stage be carefully not to damage the paint once it starts to come away make sure you remove all the old backing tape

look, whether you like my comment or not, the front and rear bar channels are identical in depth and width. given my exec had only a black 'sticker' instead of that chrome stripe mine was somewhat easier to remove, but my answer is still accurate. jam a screwdriver in just as he did with the rear and pry the fkr out

Actually, they're different. The Trim in the front bumper goes through a little hole at the back of the bumper. The hole is infront of the wheel, tucked away behind some plastic. I jacked the car up and took the wheel off etc, tried pushing it out of that little hole but there is no room for it to move. Help??

ok i take my comment back. didn't know they were like that (my bars are the same front and rear). all i can suggest is getting in there with something to cut the tab off

I totally forgot about this thread, all I did was carefully cut the strip near the end of the bumper, then pulled it off.
