Default Vr ss power window stiches

    Hi guys,

am trying to remove the floor console on a vr ss. All screws / bolts and wiring have been disconnected but i cannot remove the power window switches below the handbrake.

Have searched the net and forums but can only find forums that relate to a vr ss with power window switches in the floor console that can be disconnected using the connection a couple of centimetres up from the actual power window switch.

After popping out the power window switches in my vr, the wiring is a continues wire that runs direct to under the dash. No way of disconnecting it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

There's two types of switches. Some have a short loom attached to them and some have a long loom. The short loom type have plugs about 10cm from the switch and then the long loom type (which it sounds like you have) have the plug further along infront of the shifter and under your radio area. Just shine a torch under there and you should see them. There will be two plugs. Hope that helps.

Also, have you removed the plastic shiter surround plastic? This needs to be removed to access the plugs and also to get to the centre console adjusting screws.
