vs problems

hey i need some help i have a vs ex i have put a batery in and refilled the collant and put mor oil in the problem now is that the car wont start it will tick over in reds but wont fire up i was wondering if having 2 much oil in the engine is a massive problem and will this cause it not to at if not coul u please send me some usefull tip on how i coud see into this problem with out resorting with a mechanic as i aient exactly on the rich side of thing

I wouldn't think that a slight overfill of the oil would cause the problem. Check for spark and fuel. Do you hear the fuel pump prime when the ignition is first switched on before you crank it.

Check the oil on the dipstick to see if you have too much?
Go through the usual's, Which already stated are Fuel and spark. Could be either of those 2.
