does any one have a wiring diagram or may no wats happening?????
have you checked the fuses, they may have blown some trying to hot wire it
yeh iv checked all fuses all wiring is in contact n nothing broken its strange its like sumthin is locking out the starter motor i suspect mayb the solenoid buh im not to sure where it is or nething
Does the engine wind over, or is it just dead when the key is turned to the start position? If theres nothing at all when turning it to start position,it is most likely the key is not getting the immobiliser code through to the BCM(Body Control Module). They probably broke or stuffed up something around the ignition switch. The key uses the two metal strips around the ignition switch as contacts (key reader) so the key can send the security signal to the BCM.This is why its very hard to hotwire these cars, and probably why they couldnt get it going, the BCM needs the security code from the key fob to disarm the immobiliser..If the blinking red security light on the centre dash does not go off when the key is turned to on,then that is your problem.

in this instance will leaving the ignition on reds for an hour bypass the security?
Yes, leaving the key on will do it.Its 45 minutes for VR and series 1 VS and 120 minutes for series 2 VS.
yeh i have nothing wen i turn the key to start.. but i can hear the fuel pump kick in. do you suggest i leave the key on for 45 mins will this fix my problem???
If it is a problem with the key or key reader then yes ,leave it on for 45 minutes and then see if it starts.Remember that if it is whats wrong, then you will have to wait the 45 minutes every time you want to start it until you get it fixed.Really its just a temporary way to start it so you can drive it to a mechanics to get it fixed.
it will bypass the immobilizer but if you turn the engine off again you then have to wait another 45 mins before it will start again
are all the dash light comming on when ignition is on?
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car
and 3 Dangerous non ABS VN's
yeh all dash lights are cumin one and sterio cums on but just nothing from the engine...
Have you tried the 45 minute thing, which will confirm if the immobiliser or key/key reader is the problem, which is a big chance if someone has tried to hotwire it.
ill try leaving key on n see how that goes n bak to u
ok so my mate came around to look at it and was a simple problem ws the ring around my key hole wasnt making contact wif the key.. she goes![]()
