    Default Temp light in VS

Ok I fitted a series 3 cluster into my 95 VS acclaim about a year ago now, and ever since the day I put it in, the temp light has been popping up on the dash every 5 or so minutes, and makes a beeping sound each time it comes up. I'm trying to sort it out now because I'm trying to sell the car, and it's annoying to people who test drive it and havn't learnt to block it out. I'm thinking it's something to do with wiring, can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.

I think someone on here mentioned this was a symptom of a dry or broken joint at the voltage regulator in the dash. *confirm?*
