i havn't done one on a vs but did one on my vx 2 weeks ago, pretty simple just a bit of a squeeze without a hoist, no welding needed, might pay to get a new gasket just incase the one between the cat back and cat section is stuffed, simply jack up the car fairly high from the back and put stands under it, and chokes infront of front wheels, unbolt the cat back from the front section so the system is hanging from the rubbers only, undo the clamp that holds the front and rear sections of the cat back together, release the mount rubbers on the rear section and seperate if you can, might pay to get someone to hold the rear section whilts you support the rest of the exhaust and undo the rest of the exhaust rubbers, once its unclipped throw it away and fit your new one, check your exhaust mount rubbers and replace if they're worn, old, or cracked, dont forget to put the new gasket on and the clamp that clamps the two bits together, I hope this makes sense mate, i'm not saying this is the correct way, just the way i did it , Good-luck and happy easter

Easy as. Not worth paying an exhaust shop to do it if you can do it yourself.

irs models are easier because the exhaust dosent have to go over the diff.
new gaskets should be used to ensure no exhaust leaks .

The Redback cat back system are no that great (droning.) But the Redback High flow cats they make are pretty good they are made in oZ and sell them in 100cell and 200cell.
I have got one for my Vx s pack and they flow better then the stock cats.
But if you already got them then you might as well put it in mate.
About installing them just bolt off the old one and bolt on the new one. Obviously you will need stands or a hoist.

You might as well get a high flow cat if your changing Extractors. Less restriction the better on a Exhaust system.

They range from all different prices. The better ones are bit more expensive obviously.
Just make sure you get a metal type cat not the ceramic ones. Look up on the internet about them mate there are lots of information on them.
Stick to the oZ made ones not the oversea ones because of the emission problems.
I would recommend metal matrix but will cost a fair bit. Catco and Redback are good aswell and are a good price around $200 in SYD
