VS 5 litre UTE wont start (weak spark?)

G'Day all, my 5 litre ute wont start, has fuel and has spark. What color should the spark be? It is a yellow to red spark which i believe is weak?? what should i do - Coil? Ignition module?

I washed down the engine bay, started fine after that - twice - then all of a sudden just wouldnt start.
Your help would be greatly appreciated

coil, ignition module or hall effect sensor, you will need to test and inspect each in turn if the coil has a crack in it water may of finished it off.
The 5.0 engine is pretty water proof to wash unless it has a weak part.

yeah i'd try the coil first. if it was the ignition module you probably wouldn't have spark at all

i had this issue last week. first thing to do is try the ignition module with a known working one.

if that fails i replaced the coil and distributor. and that got it working

Replaced coil today and it started 1st go. Had a look at the old one and there was a decent crack in it, replaced plugs and leads while i was at it all good now thanks
