Speedo Sender - How to reinstall

Now that the wires have been cut and the speedo sender thing is not in the gear box. What is the best way to put it back on. The wires don't seem to hold inside the plastic clip thingy very well. The previous owner just stuffed the wires in the holds and pushed the plug into the switch. Any idea????

Maybe get some heatshrink tubing ,a soldering iron and solder and also a second hand plug.Solder the other plug from a wrecked car to the cut wiring.Then shrink down the heatshrink tubing over the joins to seal out moisture etc.Seeing as its under the vehicle use heatshrink instead of electrical tape to cover the joins.It seals and insulates the join, lasts forever and looks heaps tidier and than tape..

Small problem the wires are really hard to get at? Is there another way to get to the wires other than from under neath the car.
