Default Low or Superlow, yes another lowering thread

    Hey guys

Sorry about making another thread about lowering, just wanted to know if I should go low or super low

The Car is on 18s and every now and then I prob will have a full car load, has any one got a picture of a VR/VS with 18s on Lows and not super lows and how would super lows go with a full car load? and are super lows legal height.

Also will handling and ride be better as right now it is shocking.

Since its an exec, it would be live axle. Just a heads up, lows will barely lower the car at all, here is a bit of my car with Superlows in it on 18s:

    and with VB/VL ultras (rear)

With the superlows it was like the car wasnt lowered at all. 30km/h speedbumps and full loads no issue.

VB/VL ultras are another story :P mine sits on the bumpstops with a carload, and requires about 2km/h over speedbumps so i dont hit my exhaust :P hope this helps

Go super lows. Lows will leave you dissapointed. My car has superlows and stock 15s and very rarely do I have clearance issues. Looked real nice with 18s. Get proper shocks and you shouldn't have any issues .

Thanks for the advice think I am going to use my old pedder springs that were in the car (previous owner lowered the rear but not the front) I found this image on pedders website my rears are 2129's

I would be happy if my looked the same when I buy the 2153 Front coils

Can I use my old shockies until I have the cash to put in Monroe GT Sports? or Should I at-least do the rears to keep them trapped?

also is that legal height? I am not sure of what the clearance should be from rim center to guard.

    Thanks

Use your old shocks, i used some cable ties to tie the bottom of my springs into the cradle (warwick spec) just incase so they dont fall out entirely. Although it has never happened

hey i had the same questions about 6 months ago when i was lowering my ride.
got a vs with ultra lows (SSL) with 18's and it wasnt low enough, didnt scape over anything. so got some pedders SSSL's from friend and fitted them, now she sits fkn low but if you just want it legal and low get SSL, everyone i know got SL and paid 800$ for it then 2 months later had to pay anouther 400$ to get SSL put in. and for the shocks, i got rear sports shocks only and they ride nice, not too hard, dont really notice the front bouncing too much at all. cost me 600 for king SSL all round and just rear monroe shocks, then 50$ off mate for lower springs that i fitted myself so dont pay much more than that.

but definately go SSL, the tyre still sits above or right on wheel arch and doesnt attract attention from pigs.
    hope this helped, cheers

If you wan't the car to be legal, get superlows.

If you wan't the car to look good and not the height of a stock euro car, buy SSL's.

    thanks guys for the Info

What do you think of that Pedders setup I posted? as I have them rear in my garage, but it is to my understanding that Kings Don't compress as much and takes weight in the rear better?
