    Default getting paint OFF?

    painted my door trims black with VHT vinyl dye..

    selling my car and buyer wants normal door trims..

    whats the best way to remove the paint? apparently most paint strippers will melt the plastic?

    new door trims will be just about your only option. Paint strippers will eat in to plastic.
    You could try thinners but i doubt you would get it all off.

    yeh best to get new door trims most things will eat the plastic n u cant sand it off...

    Vinyl dye actually 'dyes' the plastic which is what makes it so durable. Looks like your off to the wreckers

    Well most paint strippers would melt the plastic of the trims, you'd be better off getting some from the wreckers. Unless you re-dyed them in a greyish colour like the stock ones?
