ok ive got $7000 to blow on my engine alone, already got full exhaust system and the basics,
ive been lookinng at superchargers, stroking and turbos but my question is what will be my greatest benifit
or should i be looking at converting to an ls1??
spend it on a ls1 you will get more hp for less
yeah thats what ive been thinking, how much roughly for the full conversion, i want to convert the car to 6speed manual at the same time???? lets say i got the engine with the trans, loom and ecu $6000 worst case what would i be looking at all up????
u would be looking at way more than the $1000 change u got to install the LS1+6spd, and theres plenty of people on this forum and others who have nothing nice to say about the quality of the conversion kits out there.
CAPA's vortech and Yella Terra's whipple blower kits can easily make 350rwhp and retail around the 7-8 grand region, i dunno if u could build a reliable atmo stroker for that sort of money
i realise that it would cost alot more than 7 to fully convert but i dont mind paying if it will pay off in the long run, really what is wrong with a conversion???

There is one question you should ask yourself before converting to LS1. Are you after power?
If yes, convert to LS1. If no, leave the 5L, and buy a charger.

well they both whine but the blower actually puts out
depending on the k's i would go with a blower.. think as in, i blower costs rnd 5g's for a killer set-up. depending if you've got an auto or manual do some box work, (short shifter,clutch, Shift kit) rnd 1500, then sum diff gears.. slick sleeper..
