Default vr v6 engine miss fire problem

i'm having a miss fire issue with my engine.

the miss has slowly been getting worse over the last week. from idle to aprox 2 grand its really bad. if it idles for a long period of time it gets worse and if i cruise at 100 and then excelerate it misses and then clears out. also today when i was cruising down the high way for about half hour the engine cut out and the engine light came on. it took about 10 seconds for the engine to start and it started missing and back firing then cleared out and it was fine.

i have check spark plug leads, coils, ignition module and electrical plugs and they all seem okay.

has anybody had this issue before? what do you think it could be?

    thanks, lozz

I'd say it is leads, check them REAL close the smallest of splits can create an arc. If not that leads can break down ie: deteriorate.

the crank angle sensor could make it stall on you . but i would start with new plugs and leads the v6s are very touchy with plugs and leads and need to be replaced id say yearly.

oh even if the leads and plugs look brand new dont be fooled into beliving they are still working properly even if they arent the problem its something that should have been done at some stage.
