Vr ss info needed plz

Hi guys,

i am replacing the roof lining and floor carpet in my vr ss. It is currently a crappy grey colour.

I am wanting to change it to genuine holden but the i want the fabric to be black and not grey on both the roof and floor.

Did any model vr (hsv or calais) etc come out stock with black carpet and roof lining. If so what is the trim code or parts numbers that i may need to order the black roof lining and flooring. Also any suggestions as to where to purchase it.

My local mechanic is quoting approx $300 for the supply and fitment of the roof lining alone. Very expensive but am in a remote town in north western australia so nothing is cheap.

Any help would be much appreciated - cheers guys

none of the VN-VS models had black trim, which means that the genuine carpet and rooflining is not available in black. Available in 200 different shades of grey, dark blue, beige and maroon, but not in black.

I used black re born leather my VR V8 it cost me about $50 (see pic) and as for black (or a number of colours) carpet, buy it new from egay here

Your definately Under8ed! thanks heaps for the help mate - Leather looks unreal, did ya score it off egay too?.

My original plan was to strip the original lining, install new 5mm foam and buy some sweet fabric or leather to redo it myself. Unfortunately when i stripped the roof lining, the original cardboard stuff at the top was completely shagged. No joy! So plan B!

Have ya got a link to pics of ya clubby? i had a vz 6L fully worked and had the dam thing repossesed when times got tough (will miss the car till the day i die!)- hence doin up an old VR. Cheers again for the help, will checkout the carpets now!
