HELP lol changing ignition barrels

im changing my ignition barrel after my vs getin stolen!!

i bought one from the wreckers and have the one that was on there..

the one thats on there seem to work fine but to b on the safe side im changing it.

i put the new barrel on and hooked it up but it seems to lock the steering wheel n nothiing i do even when putting the key in n trying to unlock it works the key wont even turn

does neone now wats going on????

Was the key in it,and was it in the "ON" position when you inserted the barrel?The key has to be in the barrel,and it has to be turned to the ON position before its inserted into the steering column.

it wont let me turn the key to the on positon b4 i do it...

have you got the right key for the new barrel??

Sounds like the wrong key for that barrel.It should be able to turn to all the positions -off,accessories,on,and start.

yep def have the right key... it was working yest but the sec i changed it the new one would work so i put the old one bak in n same thing happens!?

How are you installing it.Is the key in the barrel and the barrel in the ON position when you install it??
