Everyone is goin to laugh at me for this - i cant find the aerial on my VR SS?
Normally the aerial is in the passenger side front guard? mine isnt - no hole or anything.
Was their some freak edition of VR that came out without aerials or must mine have been deleted?
The VR has been sprayed pearl, mirrors matchin an all that crap but why would u delete the aerial?? Shoulda deleted the door handles too at least,
anyway please confirm that im not nuts.
Someone must have welded up the hole
in the windscreen? ... if the usual location has been deleted.
If computers have no doors or fences, who needs Windows and Gates?
nah not in windscreen either, is really wierd. i should be able to buy the ones that you can stick / glue to windscreen. wont be as good but will save cutting holes.
Just get a headunit with an ipod/aux connection..
take the head unit out and see if it does have a areial cord going into it then trace it back to where eva it goes...
remove inner guard on pasenger side guard and see if ther is any wires?
will do, ill check it over the weekend and let ya know.
Some have an antenna array on the rear window, it looks like an extra section of demister.
Get another guard with the aerial hole and put another aerial in.
lot of work to fit another guard but and maybe paint it but.
if you wanna put one back on id put it above the back windscreen like the ve's
i will look into the small ones on the rear window, doesnt have to have the best reception but will be better than nothing
new guard and matching the pearl would be a royal pain in the ass, Just get the one for the rear windscreen.
Not wrong about the pearl as it is a major pain in the ass. this car is an x hoon car (wasnt me). went into the police lockup yard for four months with brand new perfect paint. Came out with scratches and a massive dent in the fender and front bar. Not happy!
no good at all, Did you find the Ariel?
going to check it out now
nothin under either of the guards! I think the previous owner must have replaced the passenger sige guard before he repainted the car. The guard thats on their now has never been welded / filled or bogged so no traces of an aerial ever existing. Checked all the cabling behind the stereo (aftermarket) and found nothing that would be an aerial lead.
Is anyone using a good brand of aftermarket rear windscreen aerials.?
Cheers guys
