Trip computer will work - the manual conversion has been done many times now and no one has reported trip computer failure that I know of.

PM Morton on this forum - he has a 5 speed Statesman and may be able to help you out.

Hey green, mortons car would be different, since the Autos and manuals in VN/P/Q all are interchangable without fault codes. Its VR/S where you run into trouble (and i'm not totally sure what the actual code is, VR SS should be able to answer that if he had them)

But as said, trip will be sweet.

I dont think the trip computer is affected - unless the manual loom is diferent from the auto. And in that instance you would need to fit the manual loom wires in anyway.

The VS statesman manual conversion has been done a few times now too - yes? (Zucider was talking to me about making these patch looms for the manual conversions - but I could not follow what he was on about at the time). I should chase Paul down and get the details.

defintie answer on trip comp. all fucntions will work as they do now.

it is possible to get the computer re calibrated but it doesnt like the speedo signal pulse. as its different wave apparently. so the car will sometimes go hunting for neutral and in some instances stall.

best bet is to track down a manual computer. but till then the auto one will work straight off the bat. just will constantly have an engine light showing.
