Default coolant temp sensor (done search)

I have done a manual conversion on my v6 vs s2 had the engine out to do rear main, engine mounts, welsh plugs and a heap of other gaskets. but now engines back in has a full manual loom/computer but comes up with error code 14. the sensor is less an 3 months old and has not been a problem untill tonight. anyone got any ideas? (error code 14 coolant temp sensor low voltage)

I'd check that the wiring is correct and the ECU see's the CTS it by disconnecting the connector then turning engine on....fan should start after 12 secs on LO then after a short time go to HI. If that checks OK I'd remove sensor and measure resistance in hot water. Specs are in Gregorys.

Check that you haven't left one of the EARTH terminals from wiring loom off the back of the left head. Some of the newby apprentices forget this too... Can take ages to find if your not onto it..

Were they cheapie ones or genuine holden sensors? When it comes to sensors Ive seen a few problems with the cheapie sensors,I always buy genuine holden sensors. They are a bit dearer but you get what you pay for usually.
