Vs commodore problems!!!!!

hi all

i have a 96 vs commodore, where to start,car started to miss n back fire one day, then i was driving out of drive way when car stoped.. wouldnt start, i had water in the oil, so replaced valley cover gasket, and car was doing the same thing, then replaced the injectors cause was cracked and full of shit, still doing same thing but would start for few sec then stop, and then i replaced the spark plug leads, throtle position senser and coil packs as advised by a mechanic. now the car will run but when you stab the acelerator it dies and misses and back fires. need some advice plz ppl. thanks for your time.

First thing to do is check for logged fault codes: Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
Next up I'd check for a vacuum leak - check every vacuum hose on the throttle body/fuel carbon canister and vacuum reserve ball. Also I'd change the fuel filter. Check the vacuum line that connects to the fuel pressure regulator....remove/inspect and if line has fuel in it this means reg is stuffed.
