Hey guys, I have a problem with my Vr Berlina's interior lights, Roof Light, Footwell Lights and Ignition light.
Ok recently i changed the roof light to a 3 LED light globe bought from auto barn "monza"
after a couple of weeks it stopped working, so i thought it could of been blown so i changed it back to the orginal light and that didnt work either so while thinking it might be the fuse i also saw the footwell lights were not working and the ignition light was also not working.
so i pulled out the red 10 amp interior illumination fuse, and noticed one of the fuses legs was burnt out, so obviously i changed it.
after all this observation none of the lights that i have mentioned work..... i checked all the the globs and they all seem to be fine, but i changed them anyway, they still didnt work.
i even sprayed WD 40 on the door switches......
still nothing.
any help will be well apreciated guys, thanks.
did you check to see if the fuse had blown again?

yeah i did, its seems ok, i changed it again after i changed all the globs.
Looking at a wiring diagram, the interior door light switches are controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module). It might have a problem.Does the interior light switch on from the headlight switch?Try turning it on from there and see if it works then. The rest of the interior lights get their power straight from an orange/black wire that goes to fuse no 4,a 10 amp fuse for interior illumination.Id recheck that fuse again.

Nah its all apart of opening the door, the footwell and roof light.....not to sure about about the ignition light though, i think it switches on when you open the door to...
The BCM sounds like a possiblity...that controls the cuise control switch too i believe....not to sure.
Yep the cruise control uses the BCM,the cruise control uses different setups for different BCM's depending on whether the BCM is a "high" or a "low" BCM.
Hmmm, hope its not that, unless its the relay, but if their was something wrong with my BCM, my cruise control wouldnt work either, including alot of other things in my car...
Theres lots of different systems that use the BCM,if one thing stuffs up,theres a chance the other systems wont be effected.Yours is a berlina, most of these would have had a "MED", "HIGH" or "LUX" BCM fitted.Theres a lot more systems use the BCM on these type of vehicles-(berlina,calais,statesman etc).
