Default look at my first car.

hey guys, id like to know what you think of my first car..

its a VS berlina, (the colour is a dark green almost black)

    Exterior: dumped on stockies.
Interior: VS statesman seats and door trims, with aftermarket speakers and subs.

Engine Mods: ss induction, 3000rpm high stall, stage 2 shift kit, mini spool , and 2.5 inch exhaust

ive only had it for a couple of weeks so i havnt really had a chance to get anything else for it as such..

anyway let me know what you think.

Ditch the stickers, keep the chasers (add centre caps), for god's sake tint the glass & keep off the go pedal in the wet or there will surely be another green commodore with a pole print in the hind end.

Looks good bro. What'd that cost you? And agreed with others, remove sticker (dunno how), remove the rear holden badge (with heat from a hairdryer and dental floss or fishing line), rest is fine bro HAHA nice score with the mods on it already

fishing line works well. minimal risk to paint as above.

I'd also go to a standard or near standard ride height, but thats just me.

    Good looking bus.
I like VS Caprices so much, I bought 2... and a WH Grange!

Its already low, the rims look sweet on it too.

Heres a list of things I would do if I got any stock commodore.

    Tint
    De-badge
    Drop
    15x7 chasers with 225s
    2 1/2" cat back, 3" oval tip
    CAI

Looks like you are nearly there.

Interested in how much it set you back too?

The minispool shouldn't be an issue if you're genuinely a good driver. I'm putting one in my car which is being built for grip and hard hills driving.

But if you drive it even slightly stupidly in the wet, **** I hope you know how to drive a car sideways.

    Looks good.

Get custom springs made and research what spring rate you want etc. Hardly costs any more than King Springs and will be shitloads better.

Aurora springs do custom ones to whatever free height you want.

edit: unless you want it to be a boat, in which case get king springs or any of the other standard brands.

Have you ever driven a mini spooled car? If you have half a clue how to drive with one they are perfectly 100% safe.

Why do drag cars run spooled differentials and V8 supercars run crown and pinion? Me thinks it is a little thing called !@#$en CORNERS! Make your own mind up.

Yes i have thanks sam, there shite!!! only good if you want to go round in circles with smoke pouring off your tyres!
There out right dangerous in the wet! axle tramp like a mother ****er! put extra stress on joints or axles! (depending what rear end you have)

Not to mention there illegal and will get your car defected, drive past a copper with your car skipping around the corner and you will have a canary in no time

A good LSD is just as much fun, heaps better for the car and also legal.

Mini spools or full spools should be left for the drag strips or burn out pads.

    nice buy mate
agree with the rest, take the mini spool out, tint the windows, personally i think stockies look cheap and like cop bait (some will dis-agree) i'd be browsing the forum for some second hand mags, something nice with tyres to save ya money
i think that would look heaps better with how low it is

does it ride ok with cut springs or does it ride like a boat? i'd go super/ultra lows with a decent shock to keep those tyres on the ground bud

all in all top stuff for ya first car - mate my first car was a 87 XF falcon 250 x flow nothing flash

Mate I have had a minispool in my VN daily driver for aaaaaaages now, done a shit load of km with it in, and I've been fine. Live axle rear. Bit slidey but only when I wanted it to be, never had a problem with it - not a single time did I ever lose control or have it do anything unexpected on me. It does wear out everything in the rear end quickly, you're right about that
