    Default intermitant misfire VS ecotech

My VS still has a problem, an intermitant misfire, can happen at any time, cold or warm engine.
Mostly when using very little throttle, it misses for a bit, then comes good. If i put my foot down, it seems to clear itself.
I dont know if it is a spark problem, or fuel problem.
I have replaced so far all the usual stuff, DFI (broke down), Coil Pack (second hand), new leads, Plugs,
New Fuel Pump and filter (old pump seized).
I still have this intermitant missing problem, the car goes great most of the time, revs out to redline no worries. Yesterday i drove 250km, didnt miss abeat, today i went to the local shop, and it was missing, sometimes when idling also.
I havnt tried the dodgy way to check for error codes. I would rather let my mechanic diagnose it,
Question is too, will it show the error code anyway, or would the error code only come up when it is misfiring?
I had to join up road side service, (had to get towed when the fuel pump went)
Every time i drive this car now, i worry about it stopping, and breaking down.
Surely if the problem continues, something has to give out? ( I just hope it's not me)

Checking the error codes with a piece of wire isnt bodgey.Thats why they made them like that,so this can be done by anyone. If there is something wrong that has to do with the engine management computer system or sensors etc, there will probably be an error code logged. The error code can help diagnose problems like yours. The error code test is as easy as to do and takes about a minute to complete..Too easy.

Had the same issue with ours (VS Acclaim)... after chasing it around (but before massively expensive outlays, thank god!) we decided to call out the RAA to check it over (don't know much about cars ourselves and figured we'd get it professionally looked at) and much to our embarrassment it was a plug to one of the injectors, just a little loose... it might be a long shot, but worth checking them over! Good luck! Hope your is a simple as our was!
