If you are planing on converting your VR Column Auto ute to 5 speed manual, here are some things I found along the way that you will require to make it look like it was a factory manual.
Firstly you will need to either cut out the extra piece of the gearbox tunnel that the mounting plate (cover plate) screws to from a donor car, or fabricate one, as the column auto utes dont have this plate, nor the extra piece on the tunnel where the gearbox shifter comes through.
Also you will need to completely change the steering column to an adjustable VR or VS one as the shroud around where the indicator and wiper switches are wont fit because the ignition switch sits further back on the auto stearing column.
