I recently replaced the radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat. everything works fine except for the thermo fan. it works when the a/c is on, and the relays are working, yet the fan does not turn on at 1/4 temp when not moving, or moving. it turned on once at 3/4 temp for like 5 mins. my guess is that its the thermo sensor for the fan in the thermostat housing?
ive checked my work like 10 times and can not fault it. also had a mechanic look at it and he cant work it out either.
oh btw the fan was working fine before i replaced the radiator, but i just cant spot what i stuffed up, unless its something that happened on it own =P
any ideas???

it's not supposed to turn on until at least 1/2 temp....
The cooling fan should come on anywhere from just under 1/2 to 3/4 on the temp gauge.Mine comes on at half way. Some people on here say theirs comes on at 3/4 or even higher. If you remove the cooling fan sensor wiring from the sensor and start the engine, the cooling fan should start to rotate on low speed, then a few seconds later it should switch to high speed. This test will tell you if everything is working as it should be with the cooling fans electrical system.
thats strange.. the fan came on at 1/4 temp before i replaced the radiator. maybe the sensors are actualy getting the right readings this time coz of the flush and new radiator/thermostat =P
yeh ill take out the sensor and see what happens. then ill get back to you. taking out the sensor.. wouldnt that leave a hole in the thermostat housing? therfore no pressure?
cheers for the help btw =)
