My VR V6 pump shat itself internally. Picked up a used pump from a small local Commodore wrecker for $50 with a warranty. It cost under $30 for a rebuild kit from Repco that came with seals and new bearing. No special tools were needed for the rebuild either.

I would check out Repco and see if they have rebuild kits if you got one from there.

The rebuild kit came with all seals, bearing etc for the V6 pump. They should also do them for V8 pump. Give them a call first, because the 1st Repco I went to did not normally stock them, so had to go to another larger Repco store that did stock them all the time.
