What is the best suspension brand for a V6 VR Sedan with IRS. So far, i'm thinking Pedders.
Pedders, King Springs, Lovells, basically same product from same factory, just a different colour spring.
No pedders aren't the best because they are red and red makes it go fast....
Happy with FE2 over here.
Cheap too.
Adding Koni shocks soon= WIN!
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
Ive got all standard holden FE2 with nolothane bushes all round.Good ride and good handling. The bushes you use make a big difference.
Best springs for VR: Without questions Kings. They're a step above everything else on the market, and anyone who complains about them has taken a poor decision with shock choice.
Best shocks for a VR: Depends entirely on your budget. On a budget, KYB or Boge by a country mile. With a few dollars to spare, Koni or Bilstein, or if dollars aren't an issue, DMS Coilovers*.
* Note too that Australia's two best suspension manufacturers, DMS and MCA, both use King springs as their OEM fitment on their coilovers.
Bang for your buck, our KYB and Kings lowering kits are hard to go past:

King springs are the best ive used, they ride nice and soft and feel like factory springs..
Dont get pedders, they ride like cut springs...never again![]()
man i cant see how they are the same springs when they both ride so differently?
Where did you hear that they are all made from the same company?
No, Pedders are made in Keysborough Victoria, and Kings are made on the Gold Coast.
Everyone will have their opinion on the 'best' suspension, but unless you have a budget of around $5k, you will not ge getting the 'best'.
On a street car it will always be personal choice. Different manufacturers have different spring rates so you can have different ride qualities using 4 different springs of the same height in the same car with the same shocks. You can get a good result for under $600 if you do it yourself, add a couple of hundred if you pay someone to fit them.
what springs would be better on a everyday car that sometimes is fully loaded king spring superlows or pedders sport ryder?
