power steering pump

hi all, i know this has probably been covered before but i have tried searching for it. my power steering pump is had it by sounds of it. is their a how to guide or some advice on how to rebuild the pump as that is what ill do?

Hi mattyking - don't waste your time, look on ebay they are cheap as chips for reco'd units without sending your own back.

thanks mate. have just looked on ebay only few on their they are 140 dollars with and exchange fee of 150 until i send them mine. arent the rebuild kits like 30 bucks?

i do recall a how-to rebuild the pump, or maybe it was a quick post. any rate, grab a manual gregories or haynes. very very useful. yea the rebuild kits are cheaper than a new unit.

why do you suspect the pump is screwed?

whining noise all the time it doesnt vary when driving around you can always hear it?

i will invest in haynes or gregories? either one better than other ?

yeah i read that post earlier mate although usefull it doesnt really say how to rebuild whole lot it does say about getting a manual which is what ill do too

umm, I just looked and you can buy one for $110 no exchange with 18 months warranty Australia wide?

link? ive been looking for a one and the cheapest i could find was $140 with extra $150 deposit until old one is returned

Ive also been looking for a rebuild kit, all i can find is a seal kit for around $30, would of thought i would need more than just new seals, bearings etc?
