sorry dont know how to add a link to the ebay item http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PERFORMANCE_CHIP_MEMCAL_VR_VS_VT_V8[/URL]
all good, just copy and paste the auction URL, and just paste it in here
foamy is the bomb with tunes, and delcowizard is our newest memcal expert
i dont do V8 my advice is wait for a greenfoam special to pop up on there i wouldnt buy anyone elses off there.
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
as the others have said, wait for greenfoam man, you wont be dissapointed
wait for Foams
i'd imagine that he will just cook an updated standard rom. Foamy will tune to suit.
hay nice ute by the way
hey low if you want to pick up a bit of go in the mean time move your timing round to 14/16 degrees makes a huge difference that wot mine was set at b4 i got a tune it ran 9.55 with tune9.53 so there plent you can do with a timing light
opps 9.35 and 9.33
you will not be dissapointed not being smart but you know how to get your car back to base timing using a paper clip if not let me know only to happy to help
You went 9.24 actually maybe a 9.4 9.3? beforehand, you defiantly went 9.24 the night I was there swapping tunes, it's written in my thread but if you are prepared to run advance on the dizzy and have no other mods 16-18 degrees is good. I wouldn't do it myself since it's not ideal but it works well
edit: it was on the 1-1-10 you ran 9.24, if you want to check your time slips for that 9.2, I'm sure it will be there, I reckon that's about as fast as it went before you got the stall converter

there is more to a tune than just changing spark timing. does twisting the dizzy have any effect on the fuel maps? no. do any form of engine work and your idea of just twisting the dizzy will do more harm that good. simple fact is your car runs faster with greenfoams tune so no need to go spreading lies about his tunes doing nothing when there are plenty of people on here that would prove you wrong.
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
low vs, I will add, if you do choose to advance the dizzy rather than do the tune. If the car is the VS HSV? then don't advance it to 16-18 degrees, the HSV tune already runs more advance, 14 degrees would be about right on the HSV tune. But those things don't run lean cruise by defualt (the HSV's) and the gearbox on a VS is all electronic so there's plenty more you can do to those aside from timing, just depends what you want
hey stocky let them prove me wrong more the merrier
iv got getrag 5speed, hurricane extractors,2 venom high flow cats into twin 2.5" exhaust into 3"single at the back,3.45 diff gears,70mm throttle ,cai with k&n panal filter, and jus got brand new genuin injectors(but havent fit injectors yet)so my original question was since theres a long waiting list on your tunes was gonna try this memcal on ebay but wana no what u guys think of it b4 i go forking out $100 odd dollars, and if this ebay memcal is crap ill jus wait at the back of the line for a foam tune...any advice apreciated
i got my vs 5 litre chipped from that bloke. Made a good difference, and runs totally fine. Only problem was, that i had to solder the eprom onto my memcal and remove the original chip. Pretty easy, just dont install it back to front. I think his tunes are also pretty good.
