I have a vr with irs rear, it wasnt sitting low enough so i pulled out the rear springs to see what they are, they were KHRL SSL Which are the rite springs to suit a vr 6 irs (Ultra Low) according to the king springs catalog...
I am happy with the springs but the car sits way to high (aprox 1/2" above the tyre) so i chucked a set of compressed springs in which were half the size of the king springs, and the car didnt drop at all, stayed at the exact same hieght as the king springs...
The shocks are peddars sports rydar all round so im guessing the shocks are to stiff... just wondering wether im better off putting stock shocks, or some shorter shocks? and if anyone can recomend a brand?

i have found it takes a couple of day to bed in. see what it looks like after a good drive and see if it drops, other wise it may just be the shocks and it needs shorter shocks
its been like this for a while

You should check the shocks are suited to your application. If you haven't changed them there's a good chance it's not suitable. In which case they will probably be at max compression which means once changed it will sit lower as it is no longer on the bump stop .
they have been changed before, peddars done a full suspension setup, rears were then changed to go lower again (im guessing) i have then purchased the car and noticed the rear is higher then the front, so i pulled the springs out noticed there king springs SSL which should sit it on the tyre, to make sure i put a set of slammed compressed springs in and as mentioned it made no hieght difference, this making me think its the shocks????

try some monroe GT sport shortened struts and shocks, they go well with king springs, cheers Bob.
It's not the shocks, I'll tell you that much, unless they are bottoming out, which is unlikely. What size are your wheels? If you want it to sit lower, you can pull out the rubber stoppers that cover the bump stops on both sides, and it will go a cm or 2 lower. If you want to go stupidly low where you are tucking wheels on a VR then the springs will need to be compressed pretty much to a point where they will have no compression or rebound, so they will basically feel like they are rocks, not springs. Post a picture of how low it sits atm.

I changed the springs and put compressed springs in it (the compressed springs were slammed half the size of my SSL's) and the car didnt drop at all, cars sitting on 18's but its still way to high ill post a pic asap

The wheels wont help much being 18's.
