    Default VS V6 Exhaust?

    I have a 96 VS Berlina series 2.
I just wanted to know, what would be a good exhaust upgrade? (as i only have stock)
I don't wanna buy extractors or anything yet, as I don't have the cash.
I'd like a deep note outta the car, but not so it sounds like an old bomb.
    Any ideas!? Thanks!

If you buy a new exhaust ask for one without a resinator (rear muffler)

No worries champ. If you have a bit of mechanical knowledge hit up not_an_abab_fan for an exhaust and fit it yourself, you'll learn alot and save cash too.

Oh and would it be better to keep the muffler/resinator? Or delete it?
Remember I want a nice rumble but not so it sounds like a shitbox ha! And I want to have a nice idle and cruise soud, not just have it sound good when i give it some!
    Thanks again!

Its entirely up to you mate. Personally I would say keep the rear resi, or everyone will think you are a wanker when you are looking for a park at the supermarket. Every other member here will tell you to lose the resi. I dont know why, maybe they dont ever need to go to the supermarket.

On a side note, getting a tune from delcowizid or green foam that advances your timing a bit will help you with the lower exhaust note you are after. I got a tune from Delcowizid for my completely stock VS (normally run on shell 95) and it made my exhaust note noticably deeper. The exhaust note changed when he real time tuned my VR too, but thats a whole different kettle of fish.

The system without the rear resi doesn't sound too bad on the live axle models, on the IRS they can be a bit loud and drony as the front muffler is different.

A cat back with no rear resi is $230 shipped, or $280 shipped with.

Really? IS the front muffler on an IRS system different to a live axle system?
