all interior lights remain on - can't turn 'em off..........

Hi All,

I have a VS calais - a great ride - with 250k on the clock.
.
The interior lights wont go off, the steering wheel radio
controls don't work and I'm blowing door lock fuses like
there's no tomorrow. A local Auto 'lectrician charged
me $77 and told me he didn't know.
.
I need help please?

Theres a little switch that is part of the headlight switch body and it controls the interior light.It might be set to the on position so the interior light is always on.Also check the switches on the door jambs to see if one is not pushed in or broken etc.

I've checked the dash switch adjacent to
the HL switch. Ive checked all door switches as well. The lights
remain on with all four door switches disconnected. The Auto
Electrician suggested it might need a new body control module.

Any further thoughts please?

Yeah when i first bought my commy the interior light wouldn't turn off and it was just because I didn't know about the control being on the headlight switch body.

Its actually part of the headlight switch itself.Its a little knob thing that sticks out the side of the knob you turn, to turn the headlights on..

its part of the dash dimmer all the way up is interor light on. being a calais it should be sitting in the middle
