Default Code 73: Vehicle speed sensor

gday guys am having rather annoying problem with my car its a vs v6 1995 that i have since put a raptor supercharger on and i am getting code 73 which is the vehicle speed sensor now i still have a working speedo so im guessing its the ecu thats not getting the speed signal
i also have a 3.45 diff gears but the computer has been tuned to suit but the speedo still reads incorrect as i havent yet done the jaycar speedo correction kit
now i dont even know where the vehicle speed sensor is and if the sensor needs replacing or if maybe the plug is loose
i guess im just after the location and anyone that had this problem before to help me out
the car drives and i still use it everyday but it idles at a higher rpm and changes gears early and the car becomes rather sluggish until u give it a boot ful i have found i can still drive it but i have to hold it in gear from second onwards

The speed sensor is located at the rear of the transmission. You will see the wiring going to it.Just check the wiring and the connector to make sure they are ok.If everything looks ok,you might have to try another sensor to see if that fixes it.

if the dash is showing speed the sensor is fine will be the ecu or the modifications to the tune to suit the gears.best way is just mod the signal going into the ecu from the sensor with a corrector and not touch the tune to suit the gears this will make the gears change properly and make the dash correct
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

so why would it putting up an error code thought in the vs the speed signal comes straight from the gearbox and there was a seperate signal sent to the ecu
my tuner told me he changed the settings on the ecu to say it was running 3.45 gears and he said it would change the gearshifts but the car has been running on that tune for 4-5 months with no problems other than the speedo was reading out which isnt a huge problem but now just recently it started changing really early and being sluggish then the engine light came on and the light comes on every now and then and the only code is 73 (vss)

the vs sensor goes to the ecu via 2 wires then comes out another pin on the ecu to the dash so if the dash is working its getting to the ecu now worries ecu may be toast

try a new sensor it may be missing a pulse every now and then but i doubt it will be the problem unless its intermitant
