HSV Manta Fuel Warning Lamp

My 5.0 HSV Manta has a problem with the dash,the Kl's to empty is not reading anymore (just displays zero ) and hence the fuel warning lamp stays on and beeps every so often ,does anyone know what controls this feature as everything else is working fine on the dash

the sender in the tank as probley failed. pull the unit out and have alook and see if the float is still intacked and still able to float.

thanx for the reply but the fuel gauge is working fine its only the digital reading for distance to empty that displays on the dash

The tan wire on connector one behind the cluster might have a break in the wire or not connecting to the cluster. Had this issue when I did the upgrade and found that the connection I made wasn't good enough. But the Manta being factory would be because of that wire or the where it plugs into.

kool i will check the wiring behind the cluster could also be a break in the printed circuit on the cluster
