cracked sump

hey guys

just chucked a new engine in my vs only to find the aluminium sump has a crack in it...

is it worth just welding it back up? or a plate over the area?

or just change the sump??

depends on how bad it is. probably put another one on if you can get hold of one cheap enough. why is it cracked?

maybe it was cracked whne i bought it!!
i bought a new one today so its replacin time
