more of a wank factor or a big drifter like our vz friend lol
they do seem to make a difference. holden did fit em from the factory on later model commodores.

my mate had em on his vs 5.0 stato and he said he liked the extra stiffiness to the front.

Anyone had one on the back? Is it even doable on commodores?
There is a thing called a monkey brace which sits behind the front seats it's a rear stiffening brace.
so if holden deemed em fit for a standard road car been driven at road legal speeds, imagine how much it's needed for a car been driven in a spirited fashion. plenty of people with outputs greater then 260kw in commodores so i don't think 260kw would bother the chassis that much. fact is when pushing a car through a corner at maximum grip there is a huge load on the strut tower. can you tell me how thick the sheet steel is that is used in the strut tower? and can you then tell me that there is no flex?

yeah theres rear ones for jappas with strut rear end suspension
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
if you fitted a true coil over suspension setup in the rear of a commodore you would need to re-inforce the shock mounts and brace them as they certainly aren't designed to take that kind of load. because of the rear suspension design, in particular the location of the springs in the rear end (of a standard live axle/IRS commodore) there is no reason to fit a strut brace in the rear. for the VE with a coil over setup it would be a different story.
yes, well the anti-roll bar or sway bar is a completely different story and does a different job. sway bars are used to tune the suspension. get it wrong and it can make the car very dangerous to drive.
