Question installing cold air intake (need help)

hey guys jus bought a new cold air intake and im aware i have to modify the existing box but i jus had a look an it seems like i have to remove the black casing around the radiator....Do i have to or will it fit if i screw to the top of the casing?

the casing holds the radiator fan and im pretty sure i shouldnt have to remove it??

Yes, it just bolts to the top of the plastic on top of the radiator, if it is the gmh one. Just be careful when
drilling the holes that you don't drill through the radiator.

One question on the subject, I've always wondered how the bonnet closes with the CAI ontop of the radiator there? Is there enough space for it to still close and how does the air enter through the bonnet if it's closed? :S

    Sorry for the semi-hijack.

It still closes fine and does get enough air into it due to the air presure that flows over the front of the car when moving. They do suffer some heat soak though at a stand still.
