VR to VS

I have the chance to buy a VR acclaim as a wreck and was wonder how much of it will swap straight into My VS no frills ute
The acclaim runs just not register and smached windows the parts I am interested in are Power windows, Air bag, extractors,Power steering rack and pump, BCM
Then is the motor and auto trans worth holding onto for the VS?
Hope you can help as I need to let the guy know tomorrow

hi mate im not an expert so wouldnt go 100% on what i say but the power windows will work if you get everything to go with it.. extractors wont fit and neither will the power steering pump.. no sure about the rack but i wouldnt.. and also the gearbox will fit if your vs is a series 1 i think anything other they change the computer or something.. dont know if i've been any help but i tried..

Don't bother with the air bag, it will be like playing with matches. If you're car doesn't have airbags in the first place, it's not worth risking having the bag explode while you install it (plus, the airbag system is quite intricate). Rack and power windows will, can't say much on the BCM though.

Do I need the BCM to operate the power windoes?
Will the extractors fit on the VS ?

i dont think so.. its a defferent engine mate wouldnt imagine it fits.. also do you know how to put the power windows in its no as eassy as just throw all the parts in because i was going to try to do the same.. there is a forum somewhere i think its been made sticky actually but have a look befor you try it aye..

the windows can be done pretty simply if u dont mind doing your own wiring, bit of muckaround.

Do you mean don't use the original wire and pumb the wiring my self? IE find a power wire and use the door looms that are there
