Just a quick question
According to my gauge and trip computer I am getting 210KM to half a tank Local Driving yet when I fill backup from half it takes approx 28 liters.
I know my sender be stuffed as it will never sit in between it only reads Full, 3/4 1/2 and 1/4 and reading will change on different corners or hills, it will never sit just under full between half and 3/4 etc.
However does 210KM to Half a tank Local Driving sound about right?
If its the 60LTR tank, that is about 440km local driving, I would be happy with that.
yeah it is the 60 Liter, I just wish I was getting correct readings from the cluster.
Try gently thumping the instrument panel when the gauge is reading different to what you think it should be as it may be a sticky gauge....also watch the gauge when you turn the ignition on - it should rise smoothly - if it's jerky it will be a bad gauge. I think there is a how -to on how to fix this problem...sometimes it's a bad joint in the gauge printed circuit board. Good Luck.

A sticky gauge can be.
1. Groove in the slider that the heated (voltage) pin slides on the make the gauge rise.
2. Cracked solder joint on the voltage regulator inside the cluster.
3. Worn sender unit (pin) allowing the sender contact to move around
4. Bad contact with a wire to the sender unit.
If it's.....
No 1 replace the gauge should fix it.
No 2 is easy to solder up
No 3 is a little costly - but I got my test bench sender to work by crimping over the part were the piviot pin was.
No 4 attack with multi meter.
