VS park switch problem

Hi guys had a problem with my VS auto yesterday wouldnt start but would turn over in all gears so called the RAA. they said my fuel pump was stuffed and that is why it wouldnt run. i tested the fuel pump and it was working fine so i checked all my fuses and relays all seemed to be fine then tryed again and it started. now my problem is i checked the park switch and its working fine i even tried another switch but it will turn over and start in all gears is there any other switch i should be looking at any help would be great

may have been bypassed for some strange reason. do you know if it ever worked properly?

It was fine last week never had a problem till the other day also today i took out the switch and the car still starts in all gears. just cant work it out

do your reverse lights work, because they are in the same switch.

sounds like you might have a short somewhere in the wire between the switch and the relay...

any mods done to the car recently?

i know on vr if inhibitor switch is faulty it will start in any gear try checkin this 2 on floor shift its near shifter colum its near linkage underneath as i say this happens on vr not sure bout vs worth a look thou

yeah reverse lights work fine and the car is stock no mods at all. also tryed the key without the black part and it started as well its got me stumped
