I am starting to get all the parts ready to install cruise control, but just wondering if the cruise brake switch has a nut on the end of that plastic thread to lock it into position once installed.
The Holden wrecker were I got it didn't have a clue, tried searching here but couldn't find anything about any nut. [ i have got the little steel bracket that the switch goes into ]
Appreciate any help.
G'Day Rony, the spring steel washer thingo first pushes into the hole in the bracket and then the switch simply pushes in...it will go click, click as it pushes in further till it meets the brake pedal proper. The setup results in a switch that seems pretty loose in my opinion but it seems to work although twice I've had to readjust this switch. Good Luck.

Hi Hako & thanks for your reply, I also thought it was a bit loose as well, perhaps a very slight bending inwards on the steel clip may make it hold a bit better.
thanks mate.
I thought exactly the same but was a bit worried that I might bugger it up so I left it alone.....still not really happy with it sloppy but it hasn't given a problem for over a year now. Regards.

I wasn't happy with mine being so loose [ when the wreckers pulled it out i am sure they bent the lugs a bit ] so I just bent them back in a tiny bit so they would grip the plastic thread better, it isn't so loose now, shall see how it goes, fingers crossed.
