    Default What causes travel in the break pedal

    I did a break upgrade and now have a lot of travel in the break pedal. Vs Calais with vs boster vx master and 2 pistons on the front and standard on the back. Breaks have been bleed well no leaks yet breaking isn't as good as I would of liked it any ideas guys???

    As above...check the VX MC is the same diameter as the VT (I think it is though)...other thought is the type of pads on the front.

    Im running the same set up with a good pedal.
    The rod out of the VS booster is too long (even when adjusted to min) so you will need to space the master cylinder away from the booster. I made one fro aluminium plate about 5mm thick from memory.

    At some stage I will upgrade to the VT-Y ( I assume they are all the same) double diaphragm booster as the pedal is a bit hard due to the larger bore master cylinder.

    Well i cut that nut thing that comes out of the booster, do i need to cut it shorter??

    you can buy the VT booster and MC together from ebay that has been modded to fit VN through to VS, it comes from a shop in sydney i just cant think of the name atm

    You are working with brakes. DO NOT CUT ANYTHING!
    Do not pull the rod out of the booster or you risk dropping the reaction disc (inside the booster) and the booster will need to be pulled apart to fix it.
