Default Buick series 2 to 1

    Hello

I got me a series 1 buick that was rebuilt with new heads and what not. so i want to put it into my vr series 2 car is it was easy as just taking out the old engine and putting this one in? as the only thing i can see that's different is that it does not have one socket for one of the cables on the side where you have your oil filter and the water pump.

(note this engine came out of an VR feb 94 and mines a VR DES 94)

I fixed a VS a while back that had a broken cam angle sensor pickup magnet, it kept stalling at idle and just ran terrible until I replaced the magnet for the sensor.(The magnet had actually hit the inside of the sensor which snapped the little plastic cage that holds the pickup magnet in the camshaft drive gear). It ran perfect with the new pickup magnet.I wonder if a disconnected cam angle sensor would have the same effect on how the earlier type V6's run.
