Hey guys,
Ok everything is in and sorted, or so I thought. I have put in a VN box into my VS, which is fully manualised so no need for TPS/Kickdown. I am Running a T5 manual computer and tune.
But the car won't Start, I thought it might have been something to do with the big gearbox plug that isn't plugged in anymore... Do I need to loop any wires or what?
It's not the inhibitor, I tracked it and its all fine.... I'm baffled as to why it won't start. Everything else works, there is power at the injectors etc.. The key just won't turn the engine over, fuel pump goes, and it's not a dead battery its been charged. I doubt the started is gone, it was newish, I will check it...But other than that, What do you think it could be?????
Has anyone done this, also what did you guys who have manual converted your VS-VY???
Thanks
Ben

everything in that plug is controls for the gearbox. there should be nothing in it to do with inhibiting.
does the security light in the dash turn off when you turn the key to on?
I no the tune works I ran it to test it when the normal auto was in.. It was fine.

check all your fuses, just incase.
also, see if the starter relay is clicking when you turn the key to start.
All fuses are fine, I did check, checked pretty much everything, no tick from starter relay, although something is stopping it before that cause I swapped replays over and nothing was different.

is it possible the inhibitor is faulty? tried starting it in neutral?
I'm running a B&M quicksilver shifter, its the same micro switch for N and P....

if you swapped ecu's over the bcm may be cutting power to the starter
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
I ran the new computer and memcal with the stock box and it ran fine...

tried bypassing the micro switch?
they can be a bit funny sometimes, and need to be adjusted up.
It's not the starter, just checked it.

wait? so did you disconnect your tps? Wouldn't that cause problems?
I fixed it today, Thanks for the help guys, Turns out the inhibitor switch was unplug deep down under the console.....
It has TPS just not using it for Kickdown because its fully manualised.
