VS Commodore Conversion ( will this tailshaft fit)

I have just removed the complete manual conversion out of a VS Commodore ute. I am putting this conversion into a sedan and have heard a little rumour that the ute tailshafts are different to the sedan tailshafts can anyone out there let me know how true this is. and if it is can i just break the tailshaft in two and use the rear half of my auto tailshaft and the front half of the manual tailshaft or vice versor.

ute/wagon/statesman are all the same length and are longer than sedan, you just need to use the front half off the ute and back half off your sedan.
