You will need to make up a steel plate with sides and weld it in, then bog it up. Doesn't look that hard to do, just time consuming.

Here is one with the number plate recessed....I don't like it.

I think that VN looks really classy and it appears to be really well done, I quite like the effect, however, I hate the VS with that look, it's damn awefull!!!
Almost as awefull as VY clubsport bodykits on a VN or anything other than a VY for that matter!!!

    yuck yuck yuck!

Remember: originality isn't always the key.. If most people aren't doing it then it's probably not meant to be done.

I reckon the VN would look better with the whole boot flushed and a Statesman bumper with the number plate on it.

The VR is just wrong. Maybe if it had large Cadillac style tail lights....

shaving the boot will be the similar to shaving any other part of the car.. have you tried google?

BTW: Post #5 Not_An_Abba_Fan posted how to do it.

you need to add metal, then apply bog, sand to smooth, maybe more bog and sand, then paint.. why is there a massive rush? either take it somewhere get it done pro, or just take your time get a spare boot so if u fudge it, no loss.

I think if you need to be shown how to do it, you are probably better off taking it to a professional to have it done.

And why do you need it for rego? ?
