vr starting problems

also when i did my conversation got a brand new flywheel machined for weight matching or something like that and a brand new starter and when i try to crank it over the starter aint catching the flywheel could it be the ring gear was put too far back on the flywheel?? i rang the guys in sydney that mad ethe flywheel and they said to get a BOSCH starter. just wondering if any of you guys have had a similar problem and if simply a diffrent brand starter will fix it

ok went and got a BOSCH starter from the wreckers and bam doesnt fit went back and they said i need a 2mm spacer so i got a spacer off them threw that and the delco remy in and its working its starting extremly well so im very happy just annoyed with all the ****ing around
